WWC Global is currently seeking a Joint SOF Trainer (Communications) IV for a high visibility program providing training and exercise support to U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Joint SOF Trainers provide C4I, Defense Cyber Operations (DCO) and Knowledge Management (KM) designs for Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) injects for strategic/operational-level exercises for the USSOCOM Force Management Directorate, Joint Capabilities Training Office. This support includes all aspects of building, developing and executing strategic sensitive compartmented GCC’s exercises, Battle staff training events, Theater Special Operations Commands’ (TSOC) and SOF JTFs exercises in conjunction with the JEP and the Chairman’s Exercise Program.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning, designing, controlling & analyzing Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) training and exercises.
  • Develops and presents communications-related training seminars.
  • Serves as a Communications Analyst/Trainer during joint exercises.
  • Writes Communications and KM observation report during CJCS exercises.
  • Provides Communications and KM guidance to Combatant Command and Theater Special Operations Command (TSOC) communications teams.
  • Develops observation and training plans.
  • Coordinates & interfaces with the US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) & TSOC exercise planners.
  • Independently operates, maintains and understands Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) systems at the joint tactical, operational and strategic-levels.
  • Provide senior-level analysis and training to GCCs, TSOCs SOJTFs and JSOTF to best utilize the Department of Defense C4I systems and KM Best Practices in support of Special Operations forces worldwide.

Work Environment:

  • Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment).
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.
  • Ability to work in remote and rural environments.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to sit, stand, talk, and hear.
  • Employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers to operate a computer.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle in environments including city, highway, and rural roads CONUS and OCONUS.

Travel:

  • 21-49% / Regular Travel.
  • This position may require travel to remote overseas locations for extended periods of time.

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Current, active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Minimum of 10 years of DoD communications experience.
  • More than 10 years’ (5 years recent) experience in exercise design, scenario development, and management of Joint Life Cycle (JELC) events.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience coordinating with the training audience and developing a realistic scenario to facilitate their training objectives.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real world Operational Headquarters (SOJTF, CJSOTF, CJSOAC, etc.)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications connectivity with communication platforms: KU/X/KA Band Satellite systems, UHF/VHF radio, data systems, mobile ad-hoc networking, mesh networking systems, tactical SATCOM, LMR systems, phone systems and COP applications Demonstrated expertise in oral and written communications to explain communication network and requirements.
  • Specific technical areas must include working knowledge of DISA DISN network services, architecture, configuration, certification processes and procedures, CISCO, LAN/WAN, fiber, POTs and NSA approved encryption devices (Taclan, KIV, KG, Cylink) equipment suite programming, deployment, and integration.
  • Working knowledge of SDN versions.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HBSS and ACAS.  
  • Presentation, communication, organization skills and proficiency in all source analytical support tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, influencing abilities, and client focus.
  • Professional proficiency in English is required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Valid driver’s license (proof of which will be required after hire) and ability to qualify for and maintain WWC liability insurance through a clean driving record.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. WWC Global will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior E8+, CW3+, O4+
  • 2 years of experience as a platform instructor in a Professional Military Education/training environment.
  • Availability within three weeks of offer date.
