About Transmission and Distribution
Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts.
The position will be in the Joint Point Organization (JPO). This person will provide regional and district support to internal and external stakeholders while helping to ensure JPO goals and objectives are met, with a focus on continuous improvement and education. The Joint Pole Analyst position plays an important role in assisting with the remediation of Buddy Pole and assisting with obtaining permit to construct.
The main job responsibility of the successful candidate will be providing support in examining, Joint Pole Agreements (JPA), work orders, and pole information from various resources for the purpose of: identifying owner responsibility relating to the JPA and Buddy Poles, releasing scope to construction, removals and/or remediation.
This position will also be responsible for evaluating processes to reduce customer complaints, recommending process improvements, performing data research and analytics to identify and resolve anomalies.
Assist with customer phone calls as to status of projects and requirements.
Review of work orders with regional partners in order to insure the accuracy of closed work orders.
Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.
Two or more years of experience working in an Analyst role.
Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.
Two or more years of experience performing detailed analysis, querying, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from data and complex information.
Technical software skills including the ability to develop and maintain databases.
Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Access.
Proficient with SAP.
Experience with Design Manager (DM) and SPIDA Software.
Experience or knowledge of Google Earth and Field Inventory Maps.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Decision making ability, attention to detail, problem solving skills and flexibility.
Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment while remaining calm and focused.
Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.
Two or more years of experience planning, organizing and coordinating tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.
Two years of experience researching data/information, gathering, documenting, conducting analysis, drawing conclusions, producing written reports and presenting findings and recommendations.
