About Transmission and Distribution

Southern California Edison's (SCE's) Transmission and Distribution Organizational Unit (T & D) is responsible for planning, engineering, constructing, operating, and maintaining transmission and distribution facilities throughout the 50,000-square-mile territory. T&D is the steward of roughly $19 billion in assets that safely and reliably deliver electricity to 14 million residents via SCE's 5 million customer accounts.

Position Overview

The position will be in the Joint Point Organization (JPO). This person will provide regional and district support to internal and external stakeholders while helping to ensure JPO goals and objectives are met, with a focus on continuous improvement and education. The Joint Pole Analyst position plays an important role in assisting with the remediation of Buddy Pole and assisting with obtaining permit to construct.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • The main job responsibility of the successful candidate will be providing support in examining, Joint Pole Agreements (JPA), work orders, and pole information from various resources for the purpose of: identifying owner responsibility relating to the JPA and Buddy Poles, releasing scope to construction, removals and/or remediation.

  • This position will also be responsible for evaluating processes to reduce customer complaints, recommending process improvements, performing data research and analytics to identify and resolve anomalies.

  • Assist with customer phone calls as to status of projects and requirements.

  • Review of work orders with regional partners in order to insure the accuracy of closed work orders.

  • Performing other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working in an Analyst role.

  • Two or more years of experience with Microsoft Excel performing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, filtering/sorting, charts and graphing.

  • Two or more years of experience performing detailed analysis, querying, investigating and resolving problems, drawing conclusions from data and complex information.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates Degree.

  • Technical software skills including the ability to develop and maintain databases.

  • Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Access.

  • Proficient with SAP.

  • Experience with Design Manager (DM) and SPIDA Software.

  • Experience or knowledge of Google Earth and Field Inventory Maps.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Decision making ability, attention to detail, problem solving skills and flexibility.

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, stressful environment while remaining calm and focused.

  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills.

  • Two or more years of experience planning, organizing and coordinating tasks while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and meeting assigned deadlines.

  • Two years of experience researching data/information, gathering, documenting, conducting analysis, drawing conclusions, producing written reports and presenting findings and recommendations.

Project Analyst will assist the Project Managers with timelines in the agreed-upon project management software, report status, track issues/risks/resolutions, setup project tools and templates for initiation, and manage the PMO's continuous improvement initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assumes responsibility for performing project reporting and data analysis functions. * Works on multiple project teams at a time, including other departments, to maintain complete and accurate project records. * Demonstrates expertise with preparation of detailed project plans, including activity definition, task sequencing and resources requirements. * Meets regularly with Project Manager and team Leads to track project costs and budget variances. * Performs administrative duties such as documenting meeting minutes, record decisions and next steps, and updating project records. * Maintains PMO templates and tools master files, as well as works with stakeholders to update them regularly. * Performs stakeholder training on PMO tools and templates to ensure compliance and adoption. Templates include project plans, expense trackers, leadership reports, and performance reports. * Performs project set-up tasks and project close tasks; these include setting up shared folders, publishing all required templates to be used, performing post mortem analysis, and publishing post mortem action items. * Supports PMs in the coordination of major events, such as kick-off, design meetings, testing cycles, and go-lives. REQUIREMENTS: * 1-2 years work experience as Project Coordinator / Analyst or similar role; or 3-4 years experience working in distribution or in warehouse support functions like IT, ops support, engineering or quality. * Hands-on experience with flowcharts, technical documentation and schedules. * Proficient use of MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and MS Project. * Experience using ZoHo is preferred. * Proficient use of Google Suite. * Knowledge of Manhattan WMOS or SCALE preferred. Knowledge with other WMS or LMS is acceptable. * Highly adaptable to changing environment, strong interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to communicate on all levels. * Demonstrated ability with planning, organizing and multi-tasking to ensure efficient handling of the many tasks and resources associated with a project. * Ability to multi-task and manage in a cross-functional environment (IT, Operations, Engineering, Transportation, Real Estate). * Ability to thrive in a team working in a deadline-driven environment. * Travel up t NFI Industries Chino CA
