Responsibilities * Scope, troubleshoot and resolve various networking-related issues using effective methodologies * Configure, update, and install various network appliances (routers, switches, firewalls) in a manner that minimizes interruption * Research solutions to technical problems in a timely fashion * Provide remote administration, implementation and management of distributed systems in a large geographic footprint * Provide Helpdesk escalation-level support and Tier II break/fix support as needed * Know and adhere to company policies and procedures * Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked * Maintain timely and professional communication with management, employees, and customers; keep supervisor informed of any problems and/or any issues that need attention * Participate in and contribute to MFA Oil's formalized internship program * Other duties as assigned Job Requirements * Legal authorization to work in the United States * A valid driver's license * High school diploma or equivalent * A current student or May graduate of current year, majoring in an IT related field * General proficiency and understanding of fundamental networking systems technologies * Ability to travel to remote locations, including overnight, not to exceed 25% travel * Ability to accept and embrace accountability and be comfortable collaborating with a team * Ability to support change management and structure systems for technological implementations and management * Ability to move and position self to move and retrieve products and supplies from shelves, under counters, or stacks of inventory weighing 50 pounds * Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery including Microsoft Office products * Ability to learn new concepts and use technical materials * Ability to exchange accurate information verbally and in written form with the customers of MFA Oil in English * Ability to meet company requirements including successful pre-employment drug screening, Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and criminal background check Preferred Skills * At least one year of experience/education in network administration primary disciplines * A+, Network+, Security+, CCENT, or CCNA certifications * Familiarity with Cisco network appliance operating systems (IOS, NX-OS, ASA) and command line administration * Familiarity with Cisco Voice-over-IP solutions * Ability to develop or script automated solutions for repeatable technical processes * Strong technical writing abilities (creating accurate and effective technical descriptions, network diagrams, and procedures) * Ability to meet deadlines with a high degree of time management skills * Able to perform detail work with accuracy and grasp new concepts quickly * Ability to work both independently and in a team environment * Ability to set priorities and goals and develop plans for achieving them * Ability to promote and contribute to a positive and respectful work environment MFA Oil Columbia MO
