Regional Manager Jobsite Safety & Security

Purpose of the Job:

This self-motivated individual will provide product and safety training to various internal and external customers throughout our Central Region, focused on driving End User conversions throughout the region to the suite of WernerCo brands and products.

This is a remote based position, working out of a home office when not travelling within the designated territory. Our Central Region consists of the United States from Ohio west to Nebraska, north to Minnesota and south to Missouri and Kentucky. The Safety Training Manager must reside within the region.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

Learn, understand, and be a leading example of the WernerCo 'We Are One' company values.

In conjunction with our Regional Sales and End User Specialist teams, implement strategies, communicate product knowledge and conduct training to maintain a pipeline focused on meeting or exceeding regional sales objectives, conversion dollars, and other KPI for the region.

Establish and grow a network of Safety Directors, End Users, Distributors, and Regional Safety Personnel to drive sales across the region as well as the nation.

Establish and deepen relationships with top distributors stocking Werner Fall Protection, Climbing, and Jobsite - working alongside them weekly to grow sales in these focus categories.

Responsible for achieving annual Regional End User Conversion Dollar target.

Responsible for the development and consistent maintenance of End User Opportunity Pipeline.

Work closely with the Regional Vice President (RVP) to align strategy.

Provide Safety and Product information

  • Subject Matter Expert and first POC for questions.

Support events throughout the year communicating product knowledge and safety aspects of our products.

Promote the education and usage of our online training tools.

Lead regional teams with selling new product offerings, safety materials, and competitive comparisons - ensuring regional teams are trained and executing in lock step with WernerCo.

Other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions of the job.

Management - responsible for leading regional EUS team, aligning strategy, evaluating and developing teammates, and leading monthly huddle for EUS team (focus on targets in SFDC and KPI).

Competition - responsible for continual SWOT analysis within region (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), developing a competitive strategy with the RVP and sharing the 'Voice of the User' with the Sales, Marketing, and Product Development teams.

Experience & Education:


Five years or more experience in Fall Protection Safety Training

Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA safety standards required


Bachelor's Degree in business administration or equivalent

Proven sales experience in a related field

Willingness to support teammates across regions for Blitz campaigns and targeted teamwork

Learn more at Responsibilities: * Lead, design, develop and implement initial and recurrent training programs for transportation personnel. * Supervise driver trainers, by establishing objectives, standards, work schedules and accountability for job performance. * Proactively recruit individuals to apply and train them to become School Bus Drivers * Provide classroom instruction and behind the wheel training of applicants and bus drivers to ensure successful completion of training and testing; recommend upgrades as necessary * Provide on-going training and performance evaluations for all Driver employees * Administer and maintain Company random drug/alcohol testing and pre-employment drug/alcohol testing program in conjunction with corporate office. * Develop and conduct regularly scheduled Driver Safety Meetings. * Assume primary responsibility in responding to personal injury and vehicle accidents by on-scene investigation and preparing and submitting reports to the corporate office in accordance with Company policy. * Investigate customer service complaints relative to safety issues and take appropriate corrective action. * Administer and maintain Company Safe Driver Award Program. * High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. * 3 years as a Trainer in school bus transportation industry desired * Supervisory experience preferred; specifically experience supervising/training a driver workforce * Must complete state certification program or Durham's Training Academy for school bus driver instructor.
