Performs project set up, change order entry, and overall maintenance of a project. Maintains project files. Prepares and enters project related journal entries.
Prepares and submits monthly project billings to include both lump sum and cost plus projects. Prepares and submits all required reports for assigned projects - CIP reports, lien waivers, project audits, etc.
Accomplishes month-end closing tasks for assigned business unit.
Reconciles and prepares monthly sales report for assigned business unit. Conducts business unit account reconciliations - suspense, previously closed, incentive, etc.
Conducts gross margin analysis to ensure the financial integrity of projects.
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.
2-5 years of experience.
Proven work experience as a Construction Cost Accountant or similar role.Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.Strong time management skills.Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
