Job Summary: The Job Coach trains persons with developmental disabilities and/or barriers to employment in a variety of work settings. This position requires a flexible schedule.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides training and support to employers/co-worker in understanding disabilities, enhancing interaction skills to maximize inclusion of individuals with disabilities in the work place.
Provides individualized training and support to individuals placed in community jobs.
Performs task analysis at employment sites and develops job/work procedures for each participant.
Provides information on a regular basis to the Vocational Service Manager, in-house case manager, parents, and outside referral source.
Maintains professional relationships with the business community and establishes natural suppports at each individual job side.
Provide written documentation of participant's progress by way of case notes and performance evaluations.
Some college education is preferred
Experience working with people with barriers to employment or education is highly desired
Reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and liability insurance is required
