Purposes

This role helps to foster self-reliance, care for the poor and the needy, and provide opportunities for giving and service by: helping members become economically and emotionally self-reliant; providing access to essential food and clothing items, helping members prepare for and respond to disasters; and providing humanitarian aid to relieve suffering; thus furthering the mission of the Church. A Job Coach Trainer exists to support the mission and purpose of the Welfare Department and the Division of Deseret Industries. The Job Coach Trainer plays a critical role in the training of DI Associates and in managing daily store operations. These critical roles may include: 1) Training and development of Associates, 2) Opening and closing of DI Stores, 3) Management of store sections (receiving dock, processing area, sales floor, Cashiers, etc...) Additional areas of training and development include: a) Dress standards, b) Hygiene in the workplace, c) Proper work behaviors, d) Time keeping, e) Work ethics, f) Specific skills training, g) Vocational training, h) Performance management. The Job Coach Trainer is an essential player in day-to-day store operations and is pivotal in the successful training, development and eventual placement of Training Associates in viable, self-sustaining work environments within the communities they serve. Job Coach Trainers are responsible for ensuring that day-to-day store operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coach 15 Associates (25-36 annually), who may have a wide range of disabilities or circumstances preventing them from achieving self reliance on their own. Primary, daily contact and source of help for all Associates. - (ongoing)

  • Schedule work for all Associates.

  • Teach Associates standard store operating procedures, plus proper Health and Safety practices and standards and ensure understanding and compliance.

  • Job Placement activities to obtain regular employment outside of Deseret Industries for all Associates. These areas will include: resume writing, interview & job searching skills, communication, team building, leadership, and self reliance skills, etc.

  • Provide education, training and intervention into all verbal, physical, intimidating and harassing situations. - (ongoing)

  • Train and supervise Associates enrolled in advanced skills training.

  • Teach Best Practice Work Behaviors including time keeping, communication and leadership skills, honestly, reliability, and following instructions. - (ongoing); Evaluate each Associate, at least quarterly.

  • Coach for improvement in behavior and productivity using specific behavioral modifications techniques. - (ongoing)

  • Give crucial input to Individual Self Reliance Plans (ISRP) developed for each Associate.

  • Assist each Associate to complete ISRP as assigned by the Development Manager.

  • Maintain confidential records of current work and productivity behaviors of all Associates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field of study (Retail/Employee Development) and the equivalent combination of experience and training.

  • Demonstrated experience in teaching, training, and/or supervision.

  • Experience working with those who; have a disability (physical and/or mental), or are recovered substance abusers is a plus. Retail experience

preferred.

  • Ability to regularly lift up to 25 lbs., to walk and stand for long periods of time, to bend, twist and climb as needed.

  • Successful completion of the following training courses in the first 12 months of employment required: 1) Job Coach Trainer's Certification,


  1. Development In-Service Training, and 3) Retail In-Service Training.

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.

PMO Manager (DRAM) A PMO Manager (DRAM) at Micron is responsible for leading a team of Program Managers (PMgr's) within the DRAM PMO (Program Management Office) organization. In this position, the individual will also be responsible for achieving the targets of the programs covered by his group as captured in the project release document (schedule, quality, costs, manufacturing readiness and budget). The PMO Manager participates actively in the NPI process and in Stage Gate (SG) reviews of the PLM process. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Hiring, instructing, guiding, supporting the PMgr team (set priorities, solve conflicts, support PMgr's with decision making and with escalations) * Assign programs to PMgr's in his/her team and guide them through the necessary steps prior and after project release. Headcount planning for the PMO DRAM group. * Set up and track training (ProChain and other related knowledge/skills) for his/her team * Decision making: Identify and quickly make decisions. Escalate decisions that are beyond the scope of the team in a timely fashion. * Participate in long-term planning activities (for example DRAM roadmap). Assist in ongoing development of the BUOPEX and PMO organization and processes. * Participate actively in weekly and monthly work reviews as well as program stage gate reviews * Drive lessons learned workshops to ensure proliferation of knowledge and best practices across the company as part of continuous improvement of the NPI E2E process * Key responsibilities of PMgr's are: * Capture product requirements, align with BU and Engineering, and establish an SOR (scope of record) prior to SG2. Develop, publish and execute a ProChain based schedule. Drive and track required actions and follow ups especially when the execution of the project is off track. * Work with NPI representatives across the company on a sample delivery plan for ES/QS * Set up and direct a Product Development Team (PDT). Regular meetings (weekly or more frequently) of the PDT/extended PDT's to track the progress of the project. * Ongoing decision making, escalations (if necessary) and active risk/change request management * Drive product qualification and ramp as well as hand-off to PLE teams (once the project has reached the PLM Produce & Support stage) * Regular (weekly) reporting of the program status to leadership. Coordinate and lead report outs at work reviews and program reviews.
