Job Coach

The Arc Eastern Connecticut has been providing services to individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 60 years. We
actively champion for full community inclusion and are a licensed and contracted
service provider of the Connecticut Department of Development Services. We
provide residential, daytime, employment and social supports to people with IDD
and their families. Come join our team!

Positions Available: Monday - Friday 30 hours per week based out of our
Groton, CT facility.


Prior experience working with people who have developmental and physical
disabilities is preferred.
Job Coaches must have the ability to mentor and assist people in all areas
of life skills including recreation, independence, communication and health.
A valid drivers license required.
High School Diploma or GED is required.

Essential Functions:

Provide employment support at Arc job sites to our clients that have
moderate to severe physical and behavioral disabilities.
Communicate professionally and effectively with support staff.
Assist clients in maintaining attendance, communication, and performing
their jobs to the best of their ability as well as providing overall training,
support and guidance.
Ensure that the participant's work quality is meeting the production
standards that have been set by the employer.
Act as primary liaison between assigned worksites and The Arc.
Ensure the safety of all individuals including the proper use of equipment
and facilities.

Additional Details:

Company paid training is provided.
Selected candidates must possess basic competency in English (verbal and
written) as well as basic computer skills.

Job Responsibilities * Accountable for driving franchise sales and profit, coaching for operational excellence, and enforcing brand standards by providing high level business consulting expertise and advice to an assigned group of franchisees. * Drives revenue growth by developing annual sales, marketing, and financial plans for each franchisee. * Performs business evaluations. * Tracks and facilitates progress by gathering and analyzing data, making recommendations, building commitment, and overcoming objections. * Provides training and advises franchisees on evaluating and acting on financial analysis tools, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow reviews, financial key performance indicators, pricing strategies, etc. Identifies business needs and opportunities to improve performance and growth by leveraging company operating systems or resources. * Facilitates learning and sharing of best practices in a wide variety of formats, including group presentations and face-to-face training. * Ensures full brand standards compliance with all products, equipment, tools, operating systems, processes, and initiatives to promote operational excellence and superior customer experiences. * Provides action plans with timing to resolve any system noncompliance. * Performs field audits for quality assurance. * May assist Directors of Business Development (BDD) in managing regional initiatives and projects, providing coaching and guidance for other BDC IIs, providing owner support for escalated issues, gathering data and reporting responsibilities, and assisting with market expansion and sales initiatives in assigned region. * May act as lead for conventions and other events, to include representing the brand, owning content, programming, and scheduling, and other logistics. * May represent the business unit in franchise councils and take ownership of various responsibilities within the council. * May serve as primary liaison for Franchisee renewals, collections, insurance, royalties, etc. * Operates a motor vehicle when traveling to conduct field audits, site visits, etc. Job Requirements * Bachelor's degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. * Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in business operations management or related field required * Experience in project management, leadership, budgets, profit & loss, employee supervision, customer service, and conflict resolution required * Sales experience in the service industry preferred * Multi-unit franchise operations or strategic business planning experience preferred * Valid, permanent driver's license from state of residence and a clean driving record, defined as no DUI- related violations within the past 5 years and no more than three moving violations within the past three years, is required * Business and financial acumen * Strategic and innovative thinking skills * Project management, organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills * Coaching and influencing skills * Executive presence with the ability to speak publicly (e.g. facilitation of workshops, training sessions, and large group settings) * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to review financials and key metrics and determine corrective course of action * Ability and willingness to travel as needed for business unit, including overnight Physical Demands and Working Conditions The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential function to this job.
