AbilityPath is looking for Job Coach to join our team serving Santa Clara County!

The Job Coach promotes empowerment and independent living for individuals who may have physical and/or intellectual disabilities through community based vocational training and support. Opportunities part time(weekends/evenings) in our south region of Santa Clara County.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

• Assess and assist in development of participant's abilities as detailed in the Individual Habilitation Service Plan, as assigned

• Develop of Individual Habilitation Service Plans for participants, as assigned

• Analyze work situations or tasks & break down into teachable components according to individual training needs

• Must be able to travel to various sites

• Ensure participant understanding of employment rights and responsibilities

• Act as a representative of the agency in furthering its objectives and advocating for improvements in the quality of life for persons with intellectual disabilities

• Ability to provide engaging instruction to participants with various developmental levels, skill sets, and behaviors

• Ability to respond to challenging behaviors and support behavioral plans to increase engagement

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Associate's or Bachelor's in relevant field

• Experience working with adults with developmental disabilities

HIRING REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid California Driver's License/ID

• Clean Driving Record (if applicable)

• Proof of negative TB test results

• Verification of occupational physical clearance

• Pass a criminal fingerprint clearance

• 18 years of age or job permit clearance

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY:
