Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. We are looking for a patient, flexible and dedicated person to work with, train and supervise a fantastic team of adults with disabilities. Daily duties of this position is to provide top of the line services for the individuals on the team while providing quality service to the customers we provide a variety of services for. This is a hands-on position. Working 1-1 with a person with a disability out in the community, providing supports with their job. The services that Beacon provides to our customers is dependent on the location and site needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise and monitor clients at all times.

  • Report any concerns regarding a client to your supervisor and the clients Program Manager.

  • Support the training in Level 1 Job Coaches

  • Write incident Reports, Monthly Progress Reports, and case notes on each client, as needed.

  • Accurately complete MITC daily entries.

  • Job Coaches should model tasks and appropriate behavior while working besides clients at the worksite.

  • Ensure medications are properly stored and administered to clients if needed.

  • Follow and maintain all safety standards.

  • Complete all required trainings.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or its equivalent.

  • Successfully pass the drug test and background check.

  • Provide proof of good driving.

  • Have a valid Arizona Driver's License and pass the Beacon driving test.

  • Experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.

  • Additional Experience and/or Training: Beacon will facilitate training if needed.

  • CPR/First Aid certification, or able to obtain and maintain a CPR/ First Aid Certification.

  • Fingerprint clearance card, or able to obtain and maintain a fingerprint clearance card.

  • Article IX and Prevention and Support certificate or able to obtain and maintain certification.

  • Experience working with adults with disabilities.

  • Ability to balance, bend, stand, walk, kneel, twist, stretch, climb and sit.

  • Ability to lift/ carry up and push/pull to 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.

  • Ability to drive and travel independently to various sites.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work effectively with staff, clients, and the public.

  • Ability to use judgment.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to learn and use the equipment.

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 40 hours
