The JOANN Junior Team Member responsibility first and foremost is to deliver a premium customer experience by inspiring creativity within our customers and making JOANN their happy place! All Junior Team Members strive to drive sales through advanced product knowledge and innovative merchandising.. The Junior Team Member's role is to create an exceptional in-store experience and provide excellent customer service through direct interaction and engagement with customers. The Junior Team Member will also embody the characteristics that tie back to the duties of Brand Ambassador, Operational Excellence, Business Acumen and Inspirational Leader.

BRAND AMBASSADOR & CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Greets every JOANN customer and uses the F.A.S.T. service model to meet the customer's needs.

  • Asks open-ended questions to learn about customers' project needs and escorts them to the desired product's location.

  • Engages in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them at the store entrance, cash register and sales floor.

OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Processes customer transactions at the cash register in an efficient and friendly manner with professionalism and precision.

  • Stocks shelves accurately according to planogram while maintaining a high level of productivity and close attention to detail.

  • Maintains high standards throughout the sales floor by cleaning and recovering shelves, putting away returns, and cleaning up any spills/messes with a sense of urgency.

BUSINESS ACUMEN

  • Invites customers to participate in store activities such as Education Classes, Custom Framing, and any other events being held at the store.

  • Proactively drives sales through product knowledge, suggestive selling, innovative merchandising and building strong customer relationships to the JOANN brand.

  • Works to minimize shrink in the store by following proper policies and procedures.

INSPIRATIONAL LEADER

  • Assists other Team Members with tasks to ensure that the team exceeds expectations from Store Management.

  • Works with Store Management and other Team Members on projects in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Assists with the training of new Team Members on running the register, stocking shelves, and customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 16 or 17 years of age.

  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in a customer centric environment.

  • Available to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

You'll deliver decisive blows to the enemy using howitzers and learn how to use high-tech cannon artillery weapons systems, plus artillery tactics and strategy. And as your skills increase, so will your responsibilities. Advanced Crewmembers supervise other crewmembers in the distribution of ammunition, as well as manage cannon operations, training, and maintenance. Job Duties * Conducting wire and radio communications * Identifying target locations * Setting, loading, and firing artillery * Using computers to generate fire direction data * Operating heavy and light wheeled trucks and tracked vehicles * Transporting and managing artillery ammunition * Maintaining operational readiness of vehicles and equipment * Participate in reconnaissance operations Helpful Skills * Physically and mentally fit to perform under pressure * Ability to make quick decisions * Capable of working as a team member You'll become familiar with technology while you build strategic thinking and leadership skills that are in high-demand in the civilian workforce. Job training for a Cannon Crewmember requires 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you learn basic Soldiering skills. Then you will attend Advanced Individual Training (AIT), which consists of seven weeks of additional training. Part of this time is spent in a classroom and part in the field under simulated combat conditions.
