Bachelor's degree in physical education, Kinesiology, or related field required. Previous experience coaching and/or teaching physical education, preferably at the junior high level.
Demonstrated knowledge of various sports, fitness activities, and instructional strategies. Strong commitment to integrating Christian values and principles into the curriculum and school culture. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.
Certification in CPR and first aid. Uphold a lifestyle consistent with Christian principles and the values of the school community.

The CHS/Jr High PE Coach is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering a comprehensive physical education program for students in junior high school. This role combines coaching duties with the integration of Christian values and principles into the physical education curriculum.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement a dynamic physical education curriculum that aligns with the school's educational objectives and incorporates Christian values. Plan and lead structured physical education classes for junior high students, focusing on skill development, physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Organize and supervise various sports activities, intramural events, and interscholastic competitions in accordance with school guidelines and policies.
Provide instruction in a variety of sports and recreational activities, ensuring student safety and proper technique. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate, challenge themselves, and develop a lifelong appreciation for physical activity. Incorporate Christian principles such as respect, integrity, and compassion into daily lessons and interactions with students.
Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting character development, leadership skills, and personal growth. Collaborate with other faculty members and school administrators to support the overall mission and vision of the school community. Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and upcoming events. Stay current with trends and best practices in physical education and coaching, pursuing professional development opportunities as needed.
