Position Summary

The Jamestown Excavating Office Manager is responsible for providing support to the Excavating Division Manager as well as key stakeholders working on excavating projects. This position fulfills the administrative functions, data entry, contract coordination and clerical tasks, while maintaining professional working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Essential Functions

  • Process time cards on a weekly basis

  • Assist with recruiting, hiring, and the on-boarding process

  • Data entry as required

  • Coordinate marketing efforts as needed

  • Order office supplies and supervise office organization

  • Coordinate special meetings and functions

  • Provide support to field personnel (project) and staff when necessary

  • Maintain safety records and reporting procedures

  • Manage client accounts

  • Maintain Job Board

  • Track Equipment Hours and Maintenance

  • Adhere to all EDA policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma required, Associates Degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • Must be able to travel to local offices and/or jobsites

  • Computer proficiency at Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background investigation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three years support experience in construction industry

  • Experience working on commercial construction projects for general contractors

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

  • Effective time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

  • Must be available to work any shift (to include all hours, weekends, and/or holidays as job duties require)

  • Must be able to lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted

  • Physical ability to access all areas of the property applicable to your position

  • Must be able to withstand prolonged standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, squatting and twisting without restriction

  • Requires eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity; ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols

  • Must have the ability to reach at or below/above shoulder level on a continuous basis

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with customers, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines

Ensures customer service and product quality, freshness, safety and selection. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities: * Champions Company and Division customer service programs to meet or exceed Division customer service goals. Handles customer relations in a positive manner, including effective resolution of customer complaints. Promotes Albertson's philosophy of personalized service. * Supervising the day to day functions of the meat department to achieve customer service, and sales and profit objectives. * Supervises, motivates, directs, trains and participates in the hiring of meat department personnel. Monitors associate performance and recommend personnel actions such as hiring, firing, layoff and disciplinary actions. Schedules personnel to ensure adequate coverage and service levels and to meet department budgetary objectives. * Conducts daily inspections of all meat sections and initiates corrective measures to ensure compliance with product quality and trimming and grinding procedures, rotates products, maintains in stock conditions, code date standards, and sanitation, safety and security requirements. * Assists with all meat department duties such as: receiving, storage, cleaning, customer service, cutting, grinding, wrapping and packaging and stocking. * Implements effective promotional and seasonal displays. Controls shrink and expenses. Accurately completes and monitors daily log sheet, purchase report, and sales and labor and other required paperwork and logs.
