JET Intern Assessment and Evaluation

Position Summary

The JetBlue Emerging Talent (JET) internship program provides skill & professional development through participation in the developing real-world business solutions that support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. Throughout the program, interns participate in a robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking, and community service. The JET Program provides interns the opportunity to immerse themselves into the aviation industry while developing specific career interest or areas of study.

As an intern on the Assessment, Measurement, and Evaluation (AME) team, all activities performed by this position will be in direct support of JetBlue University (JBU) data-into-action processes. Specific responsibilities include data collection tool development and testing, data reporting, and data auditing.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development and maintenance of data collection tools, including Advanced Qualification Program (AQP) and AQP-like grade forms

  • Prepares monthly AQP data submission for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)

  • Supports recurring data collection and reporting efforts

  • Ensures accuracy of learning analytics data, particularly data necessary for AQP submissions to the FAA and monthly reports for leadership

  • Troubleshoots data collection systems, including Metrics that Matter (MTM), Qualtrics, and MINT

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

  • Demonstrate Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel through an onsite, computer-based work sample

  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy

  • Strong attention to detail and focus on quality

  • Troubleshooting and critical thinking skills

  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Proficient with common data collection and analytics tools such as Metrics that Matter (MTM), Qualtrics, Tableau, Spotfire, and/or Infopath

  • Experience with building queries in Access or using SQL or other programming languages

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun

  • Promote JetBlue's #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue's Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)

The hospital is a part of Orlando Health and serves the residents of Seminole County, Florida. Our team is dedicated to offering quality healthcare services and programs to meet the needs of our community. We use the latest equipment, perform the most advanced medical procedures and offer prevention, wellness and community outreach services. The hospital is also home to one of Orlando Health's three Air Care Team helicopter bases, allowing critical patients to be transferred to ORMC's Level I Trauma Center. South Seminole Hospital is home to Orlando Health Behavioral Healthcare, an 80-bed psychiatric hospital. Patients suffering from mental and addictive disorders, such as major depressive disorders, depression and bipolar disorder to schizophrenia, as well as addictive behaviors stemming from drug and alcohol use, are treated at this facility. The facility has three adult units, a unit for adolescents and children, and a unit for adults requiring an intensive level of care. The LPN II provides and documents individualized patient care to include patient evaluation, education, medication administration, IV therapy, treatments and patient safety as directed by the RN. Responsibilities: * Demonstrates competency in advanced practical nursing skills and use of patient care/unit equipment as defined by unit specific requisite skills. * Communicates appropriate information regarding the patient's condition to the RN and other members of the healthcare team. * Maintains a safe and caring environment for both patient and family. * Assumes an active role in keeping informed about changes in hospital policy, procedure and equipment. * Participates in nursing PI activities as assigned. * Demonstrates awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. * Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served on the assigned unit. * Demonstrates the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures. * Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. * Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
