The successful candidate will ensure safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights. WIll direct activities of the Second-in-Command and ensures that aircraft crew members understand fully an completely what duties they are expected to perform.
Complies with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft's operation
Ensures checklist use
Supervises the SIC in any duties necessary for the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of the aircraft
Coordinates the functioning of all aircraft crew members assigned to the flight
Monitors aircraft crewmember performance, shares knowledge with aircraft crewmembers
Makes decisions necessary to start, delay, or cancel flights and deviate the flight from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate
Maintains currency and proficiency in assigned Flight Department aircraft
Ensures that the aircraft is airworthy and registered and that the required documentation is onboard the aircraft
Checks weather and all applicable NOTAMs where available, and determines fuel, oil, and oxygen requirements
Ensures that all flight-planning requirements have been met
Ensures that aircraft crew members have valid licenses, medical certificates, passports and visas, when required, in accordance with the CFRs, and ICAO Annex 1 when operating internationally
Confirms any nonstandard environmental rules and procedures at the intended departure and destination airports
Operates the aircraft per Standard Operating Procedures and within aircraft limitations
Continually monitors the amount of usable fuel to ensure a safe landing with appropriate fuel reserves and communicates with ATC during abnormal situations
Ensures compliance with Customs, Immigration and cabotage laws
Completes all postflight duties, including notifying the Company of deviations to any planned itinerary or overnight location
Records flight times and reports all known or suspected defects in the aircraft to management and maintenance personnel at the termination of the flight
Reports all known or suspected FAA violations or incidents to the Chief Pilot and/or Assistant Chief Pilot as soon as practical
Reports any act of unlawful interference to the FAA or State (Mandatory Occurrence Report), as appropriate, and to the designated local authority
As soon as possible, reports to the appropriate ATC facility any hazardous weather or flight conditions encountered that are likely to affect the safety of other aircraft
In the event of an accident / incident, preserves flight and cockpit voice recorder data
Notifies the appropriate authority, by the quickest available means, of any accident involving the aircraft
Maintains a working knowledge of IS-BAO
Remains knowledgeable of pertinent areas of the FOM
Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot and/or Assistant Chief Pilot.
Holds an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine Rating (fixed wing) and is type rate in type rated in the appropriate aircraft in which the pilot is to act as Pilot-in-Command
Possesses a First Class FAA Medical Certificate
Experience with Falcon 2000LXS and/or Falcon 900LX
International experience (to include Oceanic operations) required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Possesses a Bachelor Degree (highly desirable).
Applicants will have at least 3,000 hours of total flight time and 1,500 hours Pilot-in-Command time
