Job Description:

Jet Aviation Staffing is looking for a number of LR 45 First Officers based in Houston, TX. Part 135 flying - family run company with fantastic benefits.

Job Summary:

The First Officer reports to the Captain/Chief Pilot and is responsible for the safe conduct and execution of assigned duties. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities as Captain:

Second in Command (SIC) of domestic and international flights for which the pilot has been assigned

Wear company issued uniform and comply with uniform policy

Comply with schedules and other directives governing the aircraft operation

Operate assigned aircraft in accordance with Aircraft Flight Manual and all Company manuals

Ensure that preflight inspections are performed

Perform all company assigned duties in accordance with company manuals, memos, and policies

Conduct diligent preflight planning and prepare flight plans

Provide excellent customer service to passengers

Ensure that the aircraft is clean and prepared for flight with all provisions on board for the safety and comfort of the passengers

Review and calculate the aircraft weight and balance, fuel on board and performance charts

Use checklists

Make decisions necessary to start, delay, cancel or deviate flights from planned route or destination when operating conditions dictate

Remain technically proficient and knowledgeable on assigned aircraft

Remain knowledgeable on FARs, Ops Specs, and AIM procedures

Assist with the training of new hire and upgrading crew members

Handle of passenger baggage and cargo

Assist passengers with their ground transportation needs

Revise published materials

Maintain type rating requirements in assigned aircraft

Subject to random drug and alcohol testing

Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

Type rated in the LR preferred but NOT required

Willing to live within 1 hour of the base Airport

Education and Professional Experience:

ATP License and 1st Class Medical

1,000 Hours Total Flight Time

50 hours multi-engine

75 hours instrument

Other duties may be assigned on an as-needed basis.</p><ul><li><p>Responsible for executing security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and accompanying policy and procedural guidelines and as directed by SMSSI Management.</p></li><li><p>May be responsible for conducting walking patrols of building/facility (or assigned areas within or outside the building/facility) and include vehicular patrols, golf cart patrols and/or bicycle patrols.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for identifying and reporting security threats, unsafe conditions or hazards, and/or other emergency situations.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for site-specific duties and tasks based on assignment, which may include customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, service/freight elevator security, loading dock security, and/or a variety of other safety and security roles.</p></li><li><p>Write detailed, accurate, and legible incident reports during shift, including notation of any unusual activities and how issues were resolved.
