Job Duties and Responsibilities

As a Software Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for all day to day operations of the In Home Services (I-HS) platform as well as provide stregic leadership to development teams on a new Direct to Consumer ECommerce platform at our Englewood, CO Meridian office. A successful candidate will know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to management in a software development environment.

Primary responsibilities fall into the following categories:

  • Hire and retain top talent on the team

  • Performs 1:1 meetings and management duties associated with the team

  • Sets technical standards in collaboration with other dev managers and team leads

  • Monitors the day to day operations of the I-HS platform and makes suggestions to optimize, improve, & stabilize the platform operations

  • Monitors both system & business metrics and sets standards for proactive monitoring

  • Maintenance and upgrades to Oracle Field Service Cloud

  • Maintenance and improvements to Inventory & Warehouse Management Systems

  • Facilitates development needs by enforcing consistent development environment, driving process improvements, etc.

  • Occasionally steps in for product manager to determine tasks and dependencies


Skills - Experience and Requirements

A successful Java Software Engineering Manager will have the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field with 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • At least three years of software development experience preferably Java, Angular or other JavaScript framework

  • At least three years of leading software development teams or product management in an agile environment
