As a member of our Infrastructure Development team, you will dive right into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You'll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to develop and deploy large scale infrastructure solutions that supports JPMC's diverse and critical businesses. You will be using the latest technologies, data management and security practices in all aspect of software development. Critical thinking, clear communication and collaboration are key to success product delivery.
This team looks after two real time pricing applications for the Interest Rate Derivatives trading desks under CIB. The team works with these businesses, interface directly with the traders, marketers, middle office, market risk and QR groups to gather requirements and build robust solutions. It's an opportunity to work on QTrad - global Pricing and Execution tool for the Rates Exotics & Hybrids business and Sapphire - global Interest Rate Derivative pricer (desktop application and related pricing services invoked by other applications).
Bachelors in Financial Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
The candidate will typically have 3 - 5 years of related work experience, including hands-on experience in Object Oriented Programming (preferably Java).
Experience developing commercial software with User Interface (UI), during which time they will have gained experience of Object Oriented software practices
XML, Perl - good to have
Good understanding on risk management measures and process for fixed income securities.
Experience of working in a large global development team, using agile techniques and Object Oriented development and scripting languages, is preferred.
Analyze, design and code business-related solutions, as well as core architectural changes, using an Agile programming approach resulting in software delivered on time and in budget;
Make standard modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support and industry standards;
Participate in global code review, testing, QA, Level 3 support (rotating with teammates for start of day support which starts around 7am) and training of new implementations;
Communicate with users (both FO and MO), QR and peer Technology / Operate teams as needed.
