Java Full-stack Engineer

What does a successful Java Full-stack Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will be a valuable technical resource designing and developing enterprise solutions for Fiserv's Gift Solutions. You will have an opportunity to work effectively on complex projects independently, and within a collaborative team-oriented environment. If you're a self-motivated developer with strong problem-solving skills and a proven track record in technologies that can help in design and development, we want to talk to you!

What you will do:

• Utilize your hands-on experience in Angular, Java, Microservices, and RESTful API development to develop and support applications

• Develop responsive and intuitive user interfaces using Angular, Tailwind.css, Less, and SCSS

• Apply web development concepts and best practices to optimize UI performance and accessibility

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and best practices

• Ensure code is well-structured, maintainable, and of high quality

• Design and maintain large-scale high-frequency, low-latency applications

• Interact with the product management team to understand requirements and provide estimates, high-level design, and detailed design for product and customer enhancements

What you will need to have:

• 4+ yearsof hands-on experience in frontend development with a strong focus on Angular

• 3+ years of experience using Java, RESTful APIs, JDBC/Hibernate/JPA, and Messaging Technologies (Kafka, MQ, JMS)

• 3+ years of experience using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Microservices architecture

• 3+ years of experience in AWS Cloud-based technologies with highly available and scalable architecture

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and military experience

What would be great to have:

• Working knowledge of test-driven development methodology

• Experience with Splunk, Bitbucket, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Jira, and Confluence

• Experience in event-based architecture leading strategy, governance, and execution of event-based architecture at large institutions

• Experience in the financial services or payments industry

• Experience in the day-to-day practicalities of agile software product development lifecycles such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
