Java Developer, Client Self Service And Enablement

Your role

Are you eager to work as a Java Engineer in a true agile environment where digital products are designed and built using cutting-edge technology for WMA clients and Advisors ? As a Java/Rest API Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining RESTful APIs and Java applications that power our systems.

We are looking for someone like this in a engineering role to:

• develop modern distributed applications by working in an agile team consisting of Java/UI/QA engineers and WMA business
• hands-on experience in building applications in cloud and hybrid models
• hands-on experience in application design & development using SDLC methodologies, well versed with Agile process
• collaborate with multiple IT & business stakeholders to understand business requirements and develop high performance and scalable solutions
• design and develop RESTful APIs and Java applications, ensuring optimal performance and security
• integrate APIs with various systems, databases, and third-party services
• troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing APIs, ensuring high availability and reliability
• maintain code quality, follow coding standards, and participate in code reviews
• stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in Java and API development
• provide support to other team members and mentor junior developers when necessary

Your expertise

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required

• Ideally, 8+ years of hands on experience in develop, design, maintenance and integration of distributed application in java J2EE

• Ideally, 6+ years of hands on experience with web services, MicroServices

• Ideally, 6+ years of java, application web services (rest or soap), spring framework, spring boot is a must

• Ideally, 2+ years of one of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP. Azure preferred

• Ideally, 2+ years of experience with enterprise integration and messaging related technologies such as JMS, MQ and/or Kafka

• Ideally, 2+ years of Cloud integration, Container services

• Ideally, 2+ years with version control systems (e.g., Git)

• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure such as proxy / web seal / caching / DB is a must, to be discussed during interivew;

• Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging skills is a must, to be discussed during interview;

• Good understanding of Agile based execution processes; able to operate successfully in a matrix environment to be discussed during interview

• Experience working in an environment with fast paced deliveries and changing requirements, to be discussed during interview

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, to be discussed during interview
