Calty Design Research is Toyota's North America design studio providing innovative concept and production design solutions for Toyota and Lexus vehicles. Calty's primary goal is to research market trends and create innovative vehicle designs that reflect US tastes as well as other global markets. We participate in a variety of project activities, including experimental concepts, advanced, competition and production design for the Toyota brands.
Our current opening for the position of Japanese-Bilingual Administrative Assistant is located in our Ann Arbor, Michigan Production Design Studio. This position is part of the Administration team and will be responsible for: Coordinating travel arrangements for local staff; Processing of accounting and purchasing transactions including but not limited to handling purchase requests from local staff and tracking and receiving materials, equipment and services; Providing administrative support to studio executives, administration department and Japan expats which includes Japanese/English verbal and written translation and new hire onboarding; Coordinating shipments/mailings; Coordinating communication within the studio and between affiliates; Maintaining office supply.
Qualifications include: Business-level fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Japanese and English a must; 2 years professional work experience in an administrative or customer service support role with demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing, organizing, coordinating, multitasking and problem solving.
Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Typing of 40 wpm.
