Essential Job Functions
Meets the monthly and annual sales quota as designated by Sales Manager.
Makes inroads into the American consumer base by initiating new projects/products/
programs.
Compiles Division IV sales data for Sales Manager, Purchasing Department, and Customers
Manages brokers to set sales objectives and implement strategies accordingly.
Visit and communicate with customers and potential customers to provide support,
information, and sell the Company’s products.
Coordinates with the accounting department to assure the collection of payment in a timely
manner.
Produces/participates in trade shows/events as set by business objectives.
Maintains high levels of customer satisfaction by providing excellent service and building
rapport.
Responds to and communicates with all customers in a timely manner.
Coordinates urgent deliveries with the customer to accommodate their needs.
Educates customers on how the products or services can benefit them.
Inputs and updates orders within the Company database accordingly.
Maintains and safely navigates the Company vehicle as per the Company Vehicle Policy.
Participates in weekly sales meetings.
Attends semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend.
Attends Company events and functions outside of normal working hours.
Other duties as required.
Obligation to answer to all management as requested.
Physical Requirements
Ability to drive and sit in a car for extended periods of time.
Ability to sit in an office for extended periods of time.
Ability to type and use a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to use the phone for extended periods of time.
Working Conditions
o Noise Level: Normal to loud while in the office
Other Requirements
Business level English – Read/write/speak/listen
Conversational level Japanese; Business level Japanese preferred – Read/write/speak/listen
To have and maintain a clean driving record
Maintain a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to adapt to frequent changes in assignments and workload
Pass the Sake Adviser course within 1 year of employment
AA Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree or above preferred
2+ years of food or liquor sales experience
2+ years of customer service or sales experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills
Basic mathematical knowledge – markups, discounts, combining/converting measurements,
counting inventory, etc.
Data Compiling and Analysis skills
Demonstrates strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Problem-solving skills
Basic Microsoft Office proficiency
Knowledge of ERP systems, especially AS400 preferred
Communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and previous attendance of tradeshows preferred
Knowledge of Japanese foods and sakes
