Position: Japanese Bilingual Accounting and Office Manager
Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Working Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch)
FLSA: Exempt, Full-time
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Overview:
A global manufacturing company is looking for a Japanese bilingual candidate to join as an Office Manager supporting daily operations. You will manage all aspects of the accounting function, collaborate with an external CPA firm, and oversee various HR and office administration tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are limited to:
Manage all aspects of daily accounting tasks, including journal entries, expense reports, bank account management, accounts payable and receivable processing, and general ledger maintenance.
Work closely with an external CPA firm to coordinate and prepare for month-end close procedures, trial balance preparation, and account reconciliations.
Assist with financial statement analysis and prepare basic financial reports.
Oversee all office management functions, such as managing office supplies, handling mail and phone calls, assisting with HR including recruitment support, scheduling meetings and company events, and managing guest relations.
On an occasional basis, assist with the company's convention activities by preparing logistical arrangements and attending the event to provide support.
Support the coordination of shipping parts and orders after customer orders are fulfilled by on-site manufacturing. This may include tasks such as generating shipping documents, communicating with freight companies, and tracking shipments.
Other duties requested by Management.
Qualifications:
Fluent written and spoken Japanese and English
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred, in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting
Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and accounting software (ex. QuickBooks)
Human Resources and/or office administration experience plus
Highly organized and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
Proactive problem-solver with excellent teamwork abilities
The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
