Job Title: Janitor/Janitorial Team Member

Reports to: Site and Assistant Site Managers

FLSA: Non-Exempt/ Hourly

SUMMARY: Responsible for the overall cleaning, sanitation and maintenance of the facilities through debris removal, and keeping areas clean, dirt and dust free.

$13/Hour - Full and Part Time work available.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES: Includes, but not limited to, the following.

  • Ensure safety by using correct safety postings and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when needed.
  • Clean restrooms, (empty trash receptacles, fill dispensers, sweep, mop floors, clean glass, sinks and toilets).
  • Dust mop.
  • Detail restrooms.
  • Clean vents and fixtures in restrooms.
  • Dust and clean entrance door thresholds, frames and edging.
  • Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by the Team Leader.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School diploma, General Education Degree (GED) or equivalency preferred not required; one (1) to three (3) months related experience preferred and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English and Spanish.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common understanding to carry out uninvolved written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to sixty (60) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance and color vision.
