Imagine Paul Mitchell the School Norman is looking to hire a daily janitorial and maintenance leader who is dedicated and takes pride in their workmanship.
What we are looking for:
This is a fast paced, high demand position requiring the candidate to maintain and uphold the standard, brand and image of Imagine Paul Mitchell the School Norman. The right candidate will perform general cleaning and minor maintenance duties in the building, adjacent walks, and facility in a clean, orderly and functional condition. The ideal candidate will provide assistance to staff, visitors, vendors, students and other employees as necessary. You must bring a positive and professional energy. Must be able to perform all duties related to maintaining the general cleanliness and safety of the main floor, restrooms, offices, and classrooms. Must be comfortable taking direction as well as giving direction. Must be able to take pride in their work and the facility and maintain proper appearance of the building with minimal direction.
Performs work according to standard procedure and by building's operational schedule.
Cleans rooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, offices, stairways and windows.
Sweep, remove debris, clean spills, and mop floors throughout the facility, classrooms and seating area.
Regularly check the trash receptacles, emptying as needed, in all areas of the site.
Collect, consolidate, and separate trash/recycling into proper receptacles.
Clean windows and mirrored surfaces; polish stainless steel surfaces.
Dust fixtures, shelves, furniture, equipment, and product as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness of the customer and team member restrooms (includes cleaning and policing as needed).
Complete sweep logs, as directed.
Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation procedures and adhere to safe work practices.
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, doors and sills.
Light facility maintenance such as changing light bulbs, change batteries in appliances/fixtures, hang imagery and frames, patch holes in walls, paint touch up in high traffic areas.
Reports work accomplished orally or on written work order to supervisor daily.
Reports facility maintenance needs to supervisor and calls appropriate maintenance companies as deemed necessary (ie. air conditioner repair, clogged sinks, electrical outages) using provided list of approved contacts.
Ability to carry out detailed oral or written instructions
Communication skills to relate to officials, staff and public in a courteous manner
Ability to acquire job skills in a timely fashion
Disposition to perform other duties as assigned
Physical Demands (must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation):
Ability to lift and carry objects weight from 15 to 50 pounds
Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
Engage in full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
Walking the entire 16,000 sq ft facility with great frequency
Ability to climb ladders safely and without limitation
Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours
