Janitor

Job Title: Janitor/Sanitation Team Member

Pay Rate: ($18.00 per hour)

Shift: Part-time 5:00pm to 9:00pm Monday thru Friday

Department: Supply Chain

Reports to: Plant Supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Maintain cleanliness and hygienic standards as set by facility, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

• Responsible for cleaning the machinery, packaging area, and the office spaces.

• Clean and supply designated areas within the facility to include dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, vent cleanliness, restrooms, and more.

• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities. Perform heavy cleansing tasks and special projects as needed.

• Adjust equipment or items and/or complete minor repairs. Stock and maintain supply rooms. Work in a team environment through cooperation with others.

• Follow all health and safety regulations. Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs. Perform emergency clean up as needed. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• High school diploma required. This position will be required to perform basic math, reading and writing as well as basic computer skills.

• The ability to perform basic math and demonstrate a basic ability to communicate clearly in both written and verbal form.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations:

• The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: Ability to climb stairs and work in tight spaces, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or more sitting, 70% or more walking, and 70% or more standing.

• The job is performed under some temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 50 lbs. is required.
