The Facilities Group National is currently seeking a responsible Janitor to service a warehouse for an exclusive customer of ours. This customer is one of the largest clothing retailers in the United States and operates in more than 1,000 locations. Customer is located in Shafter CA.
Summary:
The janitor position performs custodial work in offices, warehouses, industrial areas and other building interiors. The Janitor helps ensure customer satisfaction, ensures target goals/deadlines are met and ensures they are following company policies and procedures.
Janitor Responsibilities/Duties:
Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
Empty all trash cans and replace liners, clean receptacles as needed
Performs buffing, stripping, and waxing duties, as needed
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects, as needed
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Stock and maintain supply rooms
Uses personal protective equipment correctly
Adheres to company policies and procedures
Adheres to location appearance guidelines
Acts with a sense of urgency
Shows initiative regarding job functions and accepts new responsibilities
Timely completion of all assigned tasks
Reporting and program deadlines are met
Makes timely and sound decisions
Produces quality work within pre-set time frames
Other duties as assigned
Janitor Qualifications:
Some experience or knowledge of cleaning processes and equipment, desired
Ability to work effectively with a team
Excellent customer service skills
Dependable, reliable, and punctual
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Some English and Spanish preferred
