SUMMARY: The Day Porter will ensure an overall cleanliness and attractiveness of the amenity buildings and common areas for Trilogy as well as to participate in the setup and take down preparation for scheduled events. This position is also responsible for responding to requests for assistance in a professional, enthusiastic, courteous, and timely manner in order to meet required standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Activities Director in maintaining the resort standard of cleanliness and presentation of the facilities.

  • Work with the Activities Director and the Event Setup Coordinator for preparation and cleanup of rooms for scheduled events.

  • To be available to tube information to assigned areas within the Community.

  • Complete daily the morning, evening, or general check lists that outline a wide range of assigned tasks including specific responsibilities in each area of the facilities, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Keep all entrances free of debris such as paper and cigarette butts.

  • Monitor appropriate levels of water in building water features and report problems to the Activities Director.

  • Daily inspect and if need be, vacuum, dust and organize individual rooms in the amenity buildings.

  • Keep all entry doors, windows and mirrors clean and smudge free.

  • Replace light bulbs when appropriate.

  • Keep bathrooms and locker rooms clean, stocked and free from standing water.

  • Keep pool decks, sidewalks free from standing water and debris.

  • Use caution or closed signs when cleaning wet areas.

  • Report any safety concerns, suggestions or other pertinent information to the Activities Director.

  • Be up-to-date with association rules and regulations and safety practices in order to assist with compliance.

  • Advise the Activities Director when a work order is required.

  • Attend all staff meetings. Perform other pertinent duties as assigned.


  • High School degree or equivalent

  • Must have basic computer skills, and ability to communicate by email

  • Must be able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in custodial or maintenance position a plus

  • Previous experience in working in the hospitality industry preferred, but not required

  • Previous experience working in a homeowner association preferred, but not required
