Position Information Under general supervision,performs routine janitorial duties in County buildings andrelated duties, as assigned.
This is a specialized, extra help Janitor position.Extra Help (temporary) positions are limited to no more than 900 hours per year.
Incumbents are paid only for hours worked, are not entitled to benefits, and do not have status.
Incumbents assigned to this classification perform routine janitorial work.Work locations will vary, and work assignments may include irregular hours.
Minimum Qualifications Any combination of training and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Previous work experience in janitorial or custodial work is desirable.

Supplemental Information ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The ability to speak, read and write Spanish in addition to English would be an asset in this position, but is not required.

A background check is required for all Social Services positions.Background requirements consist of three components which include, fingerprinting, citizenship verification and local law enforcement checks.
State agencies must conduct investigation during time of hire and ensure a reinvestigation is conducted 10 years from the date of the previous background investigation for each employee that has access to federal tax information.
