J-1 Undergraduate Intern - Generative Design Synthesis

The Corporate Technology Simulation and Digital Twin Technology Field (SDT TF) is seeking a highly motivated undergraduate student available for 5 to 12-month internship in the area of generative design synthesis. Our Princeton facility is recognized for providing a stimulating environment for highly talented and self-motivated students.

You will have the opportunity to test your knowledge in a challenging problem-solving environment. You will be encouraged to think out-of-the-box, innovate and find solutions to real-life problems. Our team has a strong publication record in leading journals and conferences.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Contribute to research projects that develop computer-aided design exploration and synthesis applications for complex electronic circuits and mechanical systems

  • Help advance the state-of-the-art in the field, including generating patents and publications in top journals and conferences

  • Apply design space exploration techniques to large-scale, real-world problems

  • Fast prototyping, feasibility studies, specification and implementation of design exploration techniques.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • An undergraduate student in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline for research

  • At least 1-year of Hands-on coding skills

  • The ability to quickly prototype in Python/Web APIs/Java Script is required. C++ or C# is a plus

  • Basic knowledge in (Graph) Databases

  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Show passion for technologies with a can-do attitude

  • Drive and motivation for career development and open to taking on challenges

Participates in strategic overview of presentations, publications and internal/external communications along with accountable TM Leadership. Works closely with the TM matrix team and subject matter experts within the broader TM organization to achieve resolution of TM challenges with speed and innovation. Accountable for ensuring appropriate and focused TM related resourcing requests. May contribute to due diligence efforts relating to TM technologies, asset acquisition/licensing etc. Qualifications MD or PhD, or equivalent advanced biology degree. Experienced scientist with 8+ years' experience in the drug discovery and development process. Documented experience in oncology drug development (small molecule and/or biologic / immuno-oncology) in one or more major disease areas (e.g. melanoma, lung cancer, hematologic cancers, etc.). Deep understanding of the role of translational medicine/research, clinical biomarkers, clinical pharmacology in drug development. Pharmocodiagnostics and drug delivery experience highly desired but not required. Working knowledge of key functional areas of drug development, including, discovery biology, clinical development, regulatory, clinical pharmacology, toxicology, etc. Demonstrated ability to influence internal and external stakeholders in a highly dynamic, matrixed organization. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, confident, and collaborative scientist with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and demonstrated ability to prioritize.
