We're actively seeking a talented Internal Wholesaler (IW) Manager to join our team on-site in Newport Beach, CA.
As an IW Manager, you'll play a key role in Pacific Life's growth and long-term success as a people leader in the Consumer Markets Division. This position will fill an existing role and directly manage 11 Internal Wholesalers that specialize in Annuities and Mutual Funds.
You'll manage all aspects associated with the assigned Annuity and Mutual Fund Internal Wholesaling Teams within the Consumer Markets Division, with the ultimate goal of generating profitable sales within the Division.
How you'll help move us forward:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and coach a team of Internal Wholesalers (IWs) within a sales channel who are engaged in proactively marketing annuity and mutual fund products, and building professional relationships with registered representatives.
Develop skill levels of the members on your assigned team so that they are performing at the highest level considering both quantitative and qualitative measures.
Build partnering relationships with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs), Field Wholesalers (FWs) and with other departments to grow sales and market share in our assigned territory.
Achieve assigned sales goals
Building and maintaining team morale, developing leaders on our teams utilizing formal professional development plans, and increasing the skill level of the IWs through targeted training and coaching, quality control and working to improve IW efficiency through the use of technology and sales enablement tools
Developing each direct report toward being the best IW of their ability and toward their long term professional goals within Pacific Life
The experience you bring:
FINRA Series 6/7 and 63 License Required
Life Insurance and Variable Products license preferred
Minimum six years of sales/marketing experience in a Financial Services environment, including investment background, preferably with Annuities and Mutual Funds
Undergraduate degree in Marketing Economics or Finance, or equivalent Financial Industry experience
Three to five years experience educating financial advisors on selling and marketing financial services products
Demonstrated ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
What makes you stand out:
Compensation:
The base salary for this role is $95,000. In addition, this role is eligible for incentive pay based on team and individual performance. Total target compensation for this role is $150,000+.
Base Pay Range:
The base pay range noted represents the company's good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.
