Assists staff with insurance verification questions and training. Answers both routine and escalated emails
from billing and other departments and researches root causes if necessary. Assists with quality audits weekly for IV teammates. Assigns work as needed to individual queues. Supports the Insurance Verification Team when requested. Serve as a back up to the department manager when manager is not present.
Handles assigned non routine tasks within required deadlines. Non-routine tasks that include, but are not limited to, researching ship fails due to IV errors, documenting all accounts that are deemed ineligible by IV due to no contract with HCD or no out of network benefits.
Provides support to new teammates through "shadow training" and nesting with new teammates.
Under the direction of their manager, supports the IV Quality Assurance program by performing audits of accounts to ensure the program guidelines are followed.
Works independently and/or collaboratively to expediently answer inquires and resolve issues within regulatory and company requirements to ensure customer retention and satisfaction, escalating issues whenever appropriate.
Researches billing emails to discover potential errors and internal issues to correct. Makes any necessary corrections to ensure proper claims processing.
Maintains appropriate level of communication and confidentiality.
Performs all other duties as assigned, which may vary at any time with or without notice.
