The creation of the HHC System Support Office recognizes the work of a large and growing group of employees whose responsibilities are continually evolving so that we and our departments now work on behalf of the system as a whole, rather than a single member organization.

  • Reports to an ITS Group Lead or ITS Manager.

  • Provide application and technical information system support.

  • Designs, analyzes, builds, tests, trains and supports assigned applications.

  • Identify application/process design issues or conflicts and assist with the resolution.

  • "On Call" responsibilities as required.


  • Builds and maintains assigned applications and interfaces.

  • Participates in test script development and execution.

  • Conducts testing for assigned applications.

  • Coordinates vendor support for functional and technical support of applications, interfaces and equipment.

  • Participates in training and development of staff and users as assigned.

  • Provides customer response and updates according to current policies and procedures.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Attends all mandatory education and training programs (including department specific) and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance as well as department safety and specific job-related hazards.

  • Follows the hospital exposure control plans/bloodborne and airborne pathogens.

  • Attire is professional, neat, clean, and appropriate for the work environment, according to the HHC and/or Department Appearance Policy and a high standard of personal cleanliness is maintained.

  • Reports to work on time and meets acceptable standard for attendance, based upon the department attendance policy.

  • Communicates messages clearly and concisely.



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field


Four - six (4 - 6) years of related experience, healthcare experience is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
  • Work experience may substitute for minimum education requirement.

  • Due to sensitive security and financial responsibilities, must successfully pass Credit/Financial screenings.

  • Working knowledge of state and federal health care information technology laws and regulations.

  • Working knowledge of general information technology policies and procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers and various software packages.

VIEW JOBS 10/19/2020 12:00:00 AM 2021-01-17T00:00 Summary The Strategic Insights & Innovation Senior Analyst reports to the Manager, Strategic Marketing and is responsible for identifying and evaluating new business and new product opportunities both within and outside of currently served markets and technical capabilities. The role requires the ability to work well with teams, help create program visions, and pull and analyze data with ease. The individual will assess market opportunities beyond core adjacencies, and will assist in the prioritization of efforts across disparate business areas. This position is critical to achieving overall business growth goals and will work intimately with New Product Development and Product Management to achieve those goals. Responsibilities * New Opportunity Assessment - Perform technical evaluations of potential new products and services beyond current capabilities. * Conduct detailed assessments of new markets and emerging technologies to identify potential white space opportunities within and outside of traditional core adjacencies. * Work closely with the Product Innovation and Strategic Commercialization team to develop and present business cases to justify investment in new opportunities based on: key value propositions, strategic alignment, financial analytics, project valuation, go-to-market strategies, and project prioritization. * Validate key assumptions and research findings through direct engagement with customers in identified areas of interest. * Customer and Market Intelligence - Collaborate with internal and external partners to conduct research on customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning. * Generate deep and actionable customer and market insight through primary and secondary research including but not limited to in-depth reviews of: scientific literature, market reports, investor reports, and external databases, as well as conference attendance and 1:1 customer engagement. * Understand the competitive landscape and JMCRS competitive strengths and weaknesses to drive differentiation and market awareness. * Work across business units to assess financial and operational requirements for expansion beyond current capabilities. * Represent voice of the customer in team discussions to guide decision-making. Qualifications * Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences plus minimum 2 years (or M.S. plus minimum 5 years) of experience in market opportunity development or equivalent role with documented proficiency in key competencies associated with the role * Experience evaluating biomedical product and service opportunities for market attractiveness and feasibility. * Excellent analytical skills to convert market data into market opportunities. * Comfort working across disparate business units and translating research insights into actionable next steps. * Excellent interpersonal and communications skills coupled with the ability to work well in a team environment. * Demonstrated experience in executing under tight timelines on decisions which carry significant financial and business consequences. * Ability to travel 10%.
