The Department of Technology, Management and Budget supports the business operations of state agencies through a variety of services, including building management and maintenance, information technology, centralized contracting and procurement, budget and financial management, space planning and leasing, construction management, motor vehicle fleet operations, and oversight of the state retirement systems.

This position functions as a first-line manager in a complex work area for Agency Services. It supervises the activities of a technical staff of Information Technology Programmer/Analysts and oversees contractors that are involved in the development of highly complex and sensitive computer applications in a volatile environment.

The Web Development Team is responsible for Legislative Liaison, Executive Support System, Office of Communications, Internet and Intranet web sites, SharePoint development, Web Server Administration, and web-based applications. It is also the responsibility of this position to ensure projects are clearly defined, develop the structural framework in which staff design and implement systems and select and train employees.

ITM 14:

This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $3,500. Up to $1,750 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Education

Possession of a bachelor's degree with not less than 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience

Three years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator P11 or one year equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure, Programmer/Analyst or IT Project Coordinator 12.Three years of experience as a computer programming supervisor or Information Technology
