This Itinerant Site Director provides coverage for all sites regardless of size in the absence of the Site Director. Responsibilities include timely completion of paperwork, supervision and interaction with students on a daily basis, individually and via group. The Itinerant Site Director provides stability, structure and organization to sites assigned.
Evaluate, develop and implement improvement plans for assigned sites
Supervise day-to-day activities while following contract
Provide regular supervision of subordinates
Develop and implementing a diverse, creative mix of arts & crafts, sports, recreation, academic (homework assistance), and, that are age and interest specific for the children enrolled
Manage student-staff ratio
Create and monitor enrichment activities student behavior plans and transitional plans when necessary
Manage attendance and snack records
Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time
Assist students with distance learning assignments
Work remotely on assignments during program closures
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must pass CAPE test or have a minimum of 48 college units completed (Click here to learn more about taking the CAPE test!)
Must have either a minimum of 6 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation or related field OR a minimum of 6 months documented work experience in an ASES program
A minimum of 2 years experience working in an after school or group childcare setting with elementary aged children and/or middle school aged children
A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience
Ability to relate well to children and adults
Valid TB results required
Valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification required
Must receive Fingerprint Clearance upon hire (paid by Harmonium)
Must have reliable transportation to travel through San Diego County; when using personal vehicle must maintain valid driver's license and current auto insurance
Must provide proof of Fully Vaccinated status
All new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience.
