Job Summary

We're seeking Itinerant Independence Facilitators to empower students with specialized needs. Your primary role will be facilitating students' independence and collaborating with credentialed teachers.

You'll use behavioral management techniques, maintain records, and support interventions. To excel in this role, you should have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with an AA degree, 48 College units or successful completion of paraprofessional testing. Prior experience with school-age children, training in Autism, and behavior management would be beneficial.

Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability are key attributes. We currently have one open position at Lake Forest Elementary School. The work schedule for this role is as follows: 6 hours per day 8:45 AM to 3:15 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid break Monday -Friday, 193 days/ year.

This includes all school and holiday breaks off, as well as earned holiday pay, vacation, and sick leave accrual. Requirements / Qualifications

Candidates interested in this position must meet ESSA standards and provide proof of the following: 1. A high school diploma or the equivalent, AND a.

Two years of college (48 units), OR b. A. A. degree (or higher), OR c. Pass a local (County Office of Education) assessment of knowledge and skills in assisting in instruction.

Employment is contingent on DOJ and FBI clearance, and TB assessment clearance. The interviews for this position may run concurrently with the job posting. The position may be filled as soon as a qualified candidate is identified.
