Item Data Specialist

OVERVIEW

As an Item Data Specialist, you will manage corporate item data across multiple brands and channels. The item setup process for all category specific products sold on IV Media's on-air and digital platforms, ensuring items are web-complete within assigned service level timeframes. You will produce conversational yet concise product descriptions to create a frictionless and intuitive shopping experience, engage customers and drive digital conversion. You will also collaborate with cross-functional business partners to ensure consistent product content experience across all sales platforms. Excellent writing skills, exceptional collaboration skills, a track record of successful multi-tasking within a role, and a dedication to flawless execution are what you will need to be successful.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engage the customer by writing product sales descriptions on the digital platforms, articulating key features and benefits to increase conversion while delivering content in the ShopHQ brand voice.

• Organize and prioritize workload to meet assigned service level agreements amidst changing deadlines.

• Follow ShopHQ style guidelines.

• Research and write additional product marketing content, crafting and editing copy to best perform the role of "digital sales host" online while applying SEO best practices.

• Maximize sales by assigning compelling cross-sells to products and becoming a highly knowledgeable product expert in specific merchandise categories.

• Merchandise products within the website's department structure and taxonomy.

• Take definitive action to improve the customer experience by troubleshooting challenges, investigating questions, and developing resolutions to issues.

• Partner with Photography team, requesting and publishing all product images.

• Actively engage with Merchandising, Planning, Photography and Digital teams, acting as a point person for web sales presentation and bridging the Digital/TV businesses.

• Work with Item Data leadership to make strategic recommendations for department objectives and execution process.

• Use many technical applications daily, including Microsoft Suite and ShopHQ's site merchandising and photography tools.

• Other projects, initiatives and duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• English, Journalism, Marketing, or Merchandising educational background.

• 3-5 years' experience in retail, copywriting, public relations, advertising, or marketing.

• Superb organizer with high attention to detail to successfully handle multiple projects with tight deadlines.

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems.

• Strong work ethic with a highly productive, proactive, flexible approach to daily work and problem-solving

• Exemplary copywriting skills.

• Helpful and approachable attitude.
