Summary:
This position is responsible in ensuring that the IT infrastructure for the business is stable, secure, and cost effective. This position will also be responsible for helping to set the proper strategy, training, and resources in place to achieve business goals.
Primary Duties /Responsibilities
There are four primaries areas of this role listed below. The role is responsible for heavy collaboration and interface with the other IT related areas around e-commerce/Webstore, company website, and business systems/NetSuite.

Lan/Wan Network Engineer
Support office 30 users, two separate networks, one physical, one virtual, 68 desktop/server end points
Manage network infrastructure to ensure 99.9% uptime
Create and Manage VPN connectivity to Virtual Provider
Manage router configuration and security
Update WatchGuard firmware and security patches as necessary.
Plan, design, install, maintenance, management of company LAN/WAN
Main point of contact with software vendors. Contract negotiations and relationship with vendor.
Maintain all documentation for all IT business area.
Evaluate elevated privileges on a regular basis.
Install, inspect, repair and maintain two data HPE data switch assets including cables and wiring.
Manage two VLANS, one network, one Wireless
Manage two AP security and connectivity.
Troubleshoot, test and monitor commercial Charter telecommunications fibre circuit to ensure connectivity.
Establish and maintain off-site Disaster Recovery.
Produce security material and provide training for end users.
Evaluation of existing services to determine value, quality of service and upgrade recommendations.
Coordinate bi-yearly penetration testing. Remediate based on results

IT Systems Administrator
Monitor Bitdefender Malware application daily, scan computers, run updates, check malware status including servers
Monitor established Acronis backup environment daily. Ensure backup ran properly. Once a quarter, manually back up data to a local device. Data is moved to safety deposit box in Chesterfield, MO.
Create and manage GPO as necessary
Update firmware on all printers
Manage Adobe contract and installation
Manage virtual machines in Google/Virtual network. Manually turn off non-essential staff at 7:00pm, turn on vms at 6:00am.
Establish new virtual machine instances on Google virtual connect platform.
Manage the lifecycle for all equipment and services throughout the office. This process may will require working with service provider and third party vendors.
Communication with service resolution status with key stakeholders in the office.
Maintain folder redirection Group Policies
Manage print server, update new drivers as necessary. This has been removed from the network. Updates are now managed on each individual workstation. Office has 11 printers.
Evening and weekend/off hours work
Monitor and conduct routine testing and analysis of network systems; identify and diagnose problems affecting network performance &/or security.
Manage and maintain user accounts in active directory and email system.
Patch management of servers and user PCs. Ensure updates listed as critical or security are installed. (Once completed, management of TWO patch management servers to push updates locally)
Maintain inventory of network, server, and PC supplies.
Manage HP support contracts for pc equipment.
Maintain and expand documentation of all IT systems.
Setup new user computer and introductory training.
Maintain advanced knowledge of various software and provide assistance to staff as needed.
Support and maintain printer/copiers and provide initial problem resolution for users including firmware upgrades.
Assist Departments with computer needs.
Work to expand, maintain, and document Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Recovery procedures and Computer Policy.
Keep up-to-date on developments in computer industry to make informed suggestions to management. Perform other duties as needed or directed.
Ensure server updates occur after hours and communicate outage with office.
Establish and maintain end user support manual for all new hires. Update as necessary.

Exchange/Azure/Office 365 Administration/Cloud Architect
Monitor Azure Server connectivity for Office 365
Manage the operation of Exchange and Active Directory
Create new mailbox accounts, remove old accounts
Troubleshoot mailbox issues; re-create profiles
Lync diagnosis and support covering one forest and domain
Develop long term strategy for Unified Communications, such as Skype for Business.
Create and maintain public folders
Establish and maintain custom privacy policies. Knowledge of the following policies: HIPAA, US Patriot Act, US Personally Identifiable Information Act (PII),
Manage SMTP configuration on printers.
Data Governance including establish data retention policy and enforce 6 month rule.
Establish and maintain self-service password resets
Bi-yearly review of all open Email accounts including users, vendor accounts, shared mailboxes.

Telephony Administrator


Manage user support for Blulp changes
Create new phone numbers as necessary
Knowledge of VoIP Telephony
Reports on Usage as required
Maintain documentation on phone system, call recordings, and individual portal sites
Evaluate lifecycle of older device and place orders for new phones.
Perform voicemail support to office including mailbox set and password resets
Configure and establish connectivity to PBX provider on each new device.
Help Desk
Perform tasks involving the setup, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT devices including:
Desktop Support. Troubleshoot, test and fix technology problems for end user
LAN/WAN/VPN maintenance, including Wi-Fi setup
PC setup and deployment
Manage inventory of all IT related equipment
Communicate with vendors to solve infrastructure issues and account discrepancies
Manage user accounts and email including password resets, adding/removing users, unlocking accounts, changing permissions
Physical Security, including data center room
Provide basic end user pc training
Regularly update workstation BIOS.
Manage four checkout laptops. Weekly run Windows updates and Bitdefender updates
Assist users to manage the size of their local hard drives to ensure adequate space.

Requirements:

Expertise and ability to troubleshoot Active Directory, NTFS Permissions and Group Policies.
Experience with NIST 800.171 compliance strategies.
Knowledge of cabling infrastructure and basic knowledge of data networking.
Solid experience in Windows 10 OS support in a Microsoft based environment
Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Internet fundamentals
Experience with supporting and troubleshooting Virtualization technologies with Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with supporting Desktop as a service environment with clients as Windows 2016 servers.
Extensive knowledge of Office 365 Administration. Familiar with licensing E3, E5, Premium 1 and 2.
Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2016
Good knowledge of Smartphone device setup troubleshooting, upgrades etc.
Knowledge of network equipment for video conferencing, data and VOIP transmission.
Ability to perform general technology data support remotely
Desire for change and embracing new technologies
Basic fundamentals of POE.
