IT Technical Writer Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an IT Technical Writer for a contract position in Glendale, AZ.

The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension. Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:The technical writer plays a key role in the creation and delivery of internal facing procedure and control documents. The role specializes in developing, writing, and editing well-structured and clear technical content for operational procedures and specifications as they relate to business processes and applications.

The technical writer regularly collaborates with and interviews users and technical staff to gather data, creates and iterates drafts to completion and publication. Work with process managers, subject matter experts, product managers, product owners, architects, and engineers to produce and maintain documentation. Create specific lineage to requirements and authoritative sources.

Responsible for researching and translating technical information into policies, standards, procedures and/or web-based documents for non-technical and technical users. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand processes and translate them into procedure and specification documentation. Qualifications:Technical proficiency:

Understanding of IT concepts, systems, and technologies to accurately communicate technical information to a diverse audience. Writing skills: Proficiency in clear and concise writing with attention to grammar, punctuation, and style.

Research skills: Ability to research and gather information from various sources such as technical documents, subject matter experts, and online resources. Information organization:

Ability to organize complex technical information into logical and structured documents, such as manuals, guides, or online help systems. Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and product managers to gather information and review documentation. Attention to detail:

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in technical documentation. Problem-solving: Capability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently, as well as communicate solutions effectively.

Communication skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders. Office tools:

Proficiency in using tools such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, etc. Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a technical writer in the IT industry, with a strong portfolio of documentation samples.

Excellent writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail and clarity. Proficiency in documenting technical and business processes. Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Special Publication 800-53, PCI Security Standard, California Consumer Privacy Act.
