Are you our next IT Technical Engineering Analyst Sr Networks/Voice?

As a member of the Global Network Services team, the IT Technical Engineering Analyst Sr Networks/Voice will design and support the Cisco Unified Communications and Telepresence infrastructure and associated components such as voice and SIP gateways. Responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with selected best practices and defined security policies, documenting key components, and providing 24x7 production support. Architectures used will include IP switching/routing/WAN (Cisco/Juniper) and wireless technologies (Cisco); remote access and security technologies, such as Checkpoint firewalls and VPNs; Cisco Unified Communications; and Cisco Telepresence.

What will you do?

  • Lead and/or participate in the collaborative design and implementation of global voice/video in a Cisco environment.

  • Provide Tier 2 & 3 support for and mentor the Global Network Operations Team.

  • Stay abreast of current and emerging unified communications solutions making recommendations based on in-depth knowledge and research.

  • Contribute to process improvements, identifies inefficiencies, and develops policies and procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain architectural guidelines and associated documentation.

  • Create and maintain technical roadmaps.

  • Utilize professional concepts and company policies/procedures to implement and support a diverse range of architecture solutions in our production environment.

  • Develop test methods and perform testing and assessments, in coordination with customers, to assess suitability of customer systems for operational use with Mosaic video services.

  • Build and maintain complex real time monitoring systems to monitor critical communication applications, alert personnel in the event of failure, and perform trending and capacity analysis.

  • Assist the Global Security Team with network security design, audit, reviews and remediation.

  • Other projects and job duties as assigned.

What do you need for this role?

  • Associate's degree required.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related preferred.

  • CCNP Collaboration or Voice a plus.

  • CCIE a plus.

  • 5+ years of experience in the It networking/voice field.

  • For those candidates without a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of relevant Mosaic experience is required.

  • Experience with Cisco Telepresence including DX/SX series endpoints, Polycom HDX endpoints, etc.

  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications and Telepresence applications, including Call Manager, Unity, IM&P, VCS, Expressway, MCU, TMS, TMSXE, and Conductor.

  • Experience with IP Telephony protocols, including SIP, H323, and MGCP.

  • Experience with supporting and troubleshooting Quality of Service and Multicast.

  • Solid experience setting up and managing WAN/LAN monitoring applications.

  • Experience providing technical leadership within network/voice engineering Teams.

  • Must be able to create and manage Operational processes and procedures.

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Strong knowledge of IP protocols, Cisco IOS, switching/routing protocols and Firewall Traversal for H.323 and SIP video.

  • Strong verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills.

  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport, persuades others, and gains understanding.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Overview: This position is primarily responsible for compiling market research for the land department to be used in the Land Acquisition Request (LARs) process. Primary Duties & Responsibilities * Maintains accurate and complete competitive analysis for each community; updates monthly. * Compiles all LARs, including completing marketing section per LAR schedule. * Performs pre-LAR land analysis to evaluate potential future sites. * Updates submarket rankings annually. * Updates submarket information quarterly or as needed. * Updates supply and demand per submarket quarterly or as needed. * Researches competitive environment to obtain accurate market info (floorplans, pricing, pace, etc) through actual field shops. * Works with development on community positioning for product and pricing in market, as well as naming of communities and streets. * Stays current with research tools, such as Claritas-Ixpress, MapPoint, GIS Mapping and local research sources. * Keeps current with industry news and networking in market area. * Maintains evaluations of current plan offerings to make recommendations for improvement, additions, or deletions * Monitors frequency rates of plans * Identifies missing plans in current line up based on price, square footage and psychographic makeup * May use GIS Mapping to identify potential opportunities within targeted submarkets. * May track history of spec home sales in order to make educated decisions about future spec home selection.
