Performs general maintenance tasks troubleshoots and repairs computer systems and peripherals located throughout the Health System. Basic to advanced PC troubleshooting and problem resolution. Resolve most problems even of significant complexity with minimal or no assistance. Assist less senior techs with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
Perform computer hardware operating system software and related peripheral equipment repairs within the established guidelines for
timeliness and quality. 80% of all trouble calls are resolved within 8 business hours of assignment. Problems wherein this is not possible are
escalated to management.
Keep Remedy properly updated with problem ticket asset and other data elements encountered during the course of maintenance
troubleshooting and repair duties
Maintain and enhances knowledge of the HS/CS desktop environment as well as of HS/CS policies procedures and initiatives
Communicates appropriately with customers and computing staff
Drives safely to ensure no injuries or damage to passengers or vehicles.
In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
This position currently supports a repeating, bi-weekly rotating schedule, with all shifts scheduled 7AM-8PM.
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday.
Position Compensation Range: $24.24 - $38.78 Hourly
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Diploma required
Experience: 5 years
Licensure: none
Degree. May require Valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
