About this Position
The Commerce Director's Office provides centralized finance, budget, communications, marketing, legal, IT and HR services and resources for the Department Divisions and attached boards.
This position is a Computer User Support Specialist for the Montana Department of Commerce (DOC) Information Technology Section. The position is responsible for providing support for the proficient operation and administration of IT systems, devices and business processes; provides information systems training for agency users; contributes to new product research; performs new equipment procurement, setup and installation and management throughout the equipment lifecycle and performs level one network administration duties. The position reports to the Information Technology Section Manager.
This position is open until filled, with a first application review date of June 26, 2024.
What are we looking for?
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business and Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Information Technology and Design, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Two years of progressively responsible experience including user support and training; database and network administration; hardware and software configuration, installation, and maintenance; application development; system diagnosis and troubleshooting; and Internet applications and technology experience.
Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
