Description

The IT Systems Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for offering technical assistance and support for all our employees and portfolio companies. The successful candidate will be working one on one with our internal customers in assisting them with their needs, managing their accounts on On-Prem and Cloud solutions, and identifying solutions to their unique needs. The ideal person can work well on a collaborative environment with other IT counterparts while still being effective independently. This is a full time on-site position and will require reporting to our offices located in Campbell, CA.

Responsibilities, Skills & Hands-On Experience

  • Provide technical assistance and support to our employees and portfolio companies.

  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software-related issues on Windows laptops and desktops, both in-person and remotely.

  • Troubleshoot endpoints with applications, hardware, and network-related issues.

  • Assist in installation of servers, networking, and storage systems.

  • Image, deploy, troubleshoot, and manage Windows and Apple devices.

  • Hardware Setup: Occasionally assist with setting up a workspace or vendor-provided hardware.

  • Basic administration of on-premises and cloud-based Windows AD accounts, File and Print servers, and Office 365 across a multi-tenancy environment.

  • Collaborate with IT team members to identify and implement solutions to technical challenges.

  • Proficient with working with Microsoft Office (O365) and Microsoft Windows.

  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to take accurate and detailed notes.

  • Able to walk frequently to neighboring buildings, regularly encountering steps/stairs.

  • Lift up to 25 pounds on a routine basis (desktops, monitors, printers, etc.).

  • Comfortable occasionally working in a clean room (Controlled Environment Room) where wearing a full-coverage suit is required.

  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Education & Work Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows (10/11/2016/2019) and Office 365.

  • Experience working with multiple tenancies is preferred, but not required.

  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, Intune, and/or O365 administration.

  • Knowledge of maintaining users, groups, and applications within Okta.

  • Excellent communication skills, personal initiative, and enthusiasm to help end users.

  • 3+ years' experience in an IT/Help Desk, or an equivalent role.

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+ are a plus.

  • AA or BS desired but not required.

Our salary ranges are calculated by role and level. Your position within that range will be determined by your job-related knowledge, skills, experience, relevant education, and training/certifications. In addition to those factors, we also examine internal equity as well as consider current market rate, and title may be assessed one level lower or higher accordingly. After you join the company your performance, contributions, and results along with business and organizational needs will affect your base salary. The base salary range for this full-time position is between $72,000 to $83,000 + equity + benefits.
