Salaried: $67,701.65/year; 2080 hours/year

• Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and training equivalent to four (4) years of college education in computer science, information management, business, accounting or other field, including three (3) to five (5) years of extensive work experience in computer operations and information management

• Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) database and experience sufficient to assist the VC3 SSRS engineer in creating reports with SSRS Report Builder. Should be skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Valid South Carolina driver's license

The IT Systems Specialist manages the City's data platform for core administrative and management services. The IT Systems Specialist verifies the integrity of the data stored on the system and is responsible for initiating, managing, and monitoring new modules and projects.

This position will oversee the City's document management system. The IT Systems Specialist is also responsible for creating, compiling, and managing related reports based on his or her findings, complete with recommended improvements to - or new requirements for - security protocols, business processes, operational procedures, and corresponding data management and reporting structures.
