SiteSpect is seeking an IT Systems Manager to join our team, primarily responsible for all of SiteSpect's internal computing resources. The IT Systems Manager will manage the current infrastructure as well as the projection and planning for future growth. The ideal candidate will be experienced with Windows PC's and servers, Linux servers, Mac's, LAN's, Windows and Samba-based file servers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain Linux servers in both virtual and physical configurations.

  • Maintain Windows Server/Active Directory control for the SiteSpect user base, devices, and services.

  • Maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including guest and private LAN's and WIFI access points, company VPN, firewall, switches, and other associated devices.

  • Maintain SiteSpect virtual server host configurations.

  • Manage the licensing and acquisition of new and existing software products deployed throughout the company.

  • Provide desk-side hardware and systems support, including desktop security utilities, OS and application installations and upgrades.

  • Manage access, acquisition, and capacity planning for shared resources such as backup systems and file and application servers.

  • Manage the inventory, acquisition, and disposal of existing and new hardware assets.

  • Implement a network and resource monitoring and management infrastructure.

  • Manage company's physical security, including security and alarm systems.

  • Ensure that all IT documentation is kept up to date.

  • Ensure that computer room environments are monitored, managed and attended to appropriately.

  • Act as a key player in company security audit procedures, including customer and PCI audits.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a lead or contributing IT role with demonstrated track records of growth.

  • Proven competency with administration and deployment of Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Active Directory, Linux and VMWare servers, and associated services.

  • Confidence and competency to administer both mainstream and open source applications and services.

  • Microsoft Windows and Office installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

  • VPN setup and administration, experience with Securepoint Open; VPN an important plus.

  • Network administration and management with a solid grounding in TCP/IP concepts.

  • Mac system deployment and administration.

  • G-Suite administration experience is preferred.

  • Database administration (MySQL, PostgreSQL) a plus.

  • Experience maintaining and customizing the Atlassian suite of products such as Jira and Confluence, a plus.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to interact with employees at all levels.

  • A positive, hands-on/can-do attitude that's typical of successful start-up employees; prior start-up experience is a big plus.
