  • This position is for an IT Systems Management Consultant who will be responsible for operational support activities for FOX application.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitor the environment health, and drive improvements to enhance availability and performance

  • Utilize strong technical aptitude on a daily basis with experience in SFTP, Batch Execution (TWS), Oracle / SQL Databases, UNIX / Linux Operating systems, Service Based Architecture, Monitoring

  • Identify and remediate failed batch and real-time processing events

  • Actively participate in and contribute to Critical incident call support (24x7)

  • Always endeavor to restore services in an expedited manner

  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of issues, including in-depth technical analysis, troubleshooting, analyzing, root cause and engaging appropriate SMEs as needed to drive incident and problem management

  • Ensure individual adherence to meeting overall organizational support goals are met (i.e. SLA, incident / problem reduction, application availability)

  • Contribute to root cause analysis efforts for permanent resolution on all incidents

  • Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies

  • Contribute to support readiness prior to the deployment of any change to the production environment

  • Show curiosity, and continuously learn the details around how customers use the application, to better ascertain the impact of specific issues and the potential effect of proposed changes

  • Create and share technical knowledge documentation

  • Provide release support for code deployments

  • Ability to adapt both written and oral communications to a variety of different audiences

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned tasks

  • Automate routine tasks using Unix scripting and other tools to build in stability and efficiency in day-to-day tasks

  • Employs a flexible attitude

  • Able to learn from mistakes

  • Willing to suggest and try new ideas/processes/methodologies

  • Accepts constructive criticism

  • 1 - Scrum Master, 7 - Systems Management Analyst

  • Skills/attributes:*

  • The following skills with overall experience of 4 years or more is required.

  • Job scheduling experience with tools like TWS

  • Experience with tools like ServiceNow

  • Data base experience like Oracle db /sql server or any other database

  • Experience with tools like sql developer

  • Unix /Shell scripting experience

  • Nice to have:*

  • Experience monitoring tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, SiteScope

  • Experience with tools like RabbitMQ, OpenShift, Jenkins

  • Working Time:*

  • 9am-5pm day shift and will have on call rotation for the weekend support.
