We are seeking an IT Systems Engineer to join our team of talented IT Professionals with focus on delivering automation, configuration and environment management processes under the umbrella of the release management activities in support of FCCI's strategic vision. You will utilize Java, PL/SQL, Spring, Servlets, JMS, SOAP, WSDL, Maven and RESTful web services to assist our team of developers, architects, business analysts, quality assurance analysts and business leaders. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and delivering a quality product is essential. Experience using monitoring and performance management tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic APM, and/or TruView NPM, and configuration management tools such as Chef and/or Puppet is preferred but not essential.

Education & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience)

  • Four to six years of experience with implementing Change Management practices and automating processes within IT

  • Hands on experience with build and deploy tools and using automation to move code through environments

  • Hands on experience with application diagnostic and proactive monitoring tools

  • Strong understanding in leading configuration management functions that include development and maintenance of delivering automated build processes and environment configuration management functions

  • Solid working knowledge of SQL, DDL triggers and procedures

  • Solid working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle

  • Experience with Release Management functions that include environment management and code deployments in a 24 x 7 environment

  • Advanced understanding of testing and documentation skills

  • Solid working knowledge of business design and analysis

  • Solid working knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts

  • Solid working knowledge of SOA concepts

  • Exposure to office systems such as word processing and electronic mail

Preferred

  • Experience with Dynatrace, New Relic APM, or TruView NPM
  • Experience with Data Integration tools such as Pentaho or Software AG

During the development phase provide a technical solution compliant with the design and interface definitions. Additionally, the Developer will provide support to test, integration, and deployment of the software baseline. Candidates must be self-motivated individuals who can understand technical concepts, have good communication skills, and able and willing to collaborate on technical items with the larger team.
