Gray Television is seeking a full-time IT Systems Engineer to join our team supporting corporate employees in Atlanta, including many of the company's top executives, as well as employees across the company. This position is responsible for all areas of end user support, including building and maintaining Windows desktops and laptops, printers, servers, file shares, backups, and all other related systems and equipment. The qualified candidate must be able to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced often-changing environment, be a strong communicator, and be capable of working well both with a team and alone. The position reports to the Director of IT Operations and works out of our Brookhaven office next door to a major shopping complex with easy access to multiple restaurants, grocery stores, and retail outlets.


  • Provide all areas of desktop client support for local and remote employees

  • Build and manage Windows 10 desktops and laptops

  • Set up work areas, including docking stations, monitors, and printers

  • Manage user accounts, passwords, and access to company applications

  • Install and support Microsoft Office and other client applications

  • Build and manage Windows servers, file shares, backups, and plans for disaster recovery

  • Process trouble tickets and provide support to downstream technicians

  • Assist visitors and guests with joining the network and connecting to presentation equipment


  • 5+ years' experience working within an IT Support environment

  • Experience applying troubleshooting techniques across various server, application, and network technologies

  • Experience managing Windows desktops and laptops

  • Experience managing Windows Server including ADUC, DNS, DHCP, and GPOs

  • Experience with ManageEngine DesktopCentral is helpful

  • Experience with virtual server and application environments like VMware and Citrix is helpful

  • Experience with remote access products like TeamViewer and Splashtop is helpful

  • Strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving skills, and a positive, customer-oriented mindset

  • Eagerness to take on new projects with minimal supervision and a focus on best practice implementations

  • Ability to research and learn quickly with great attention to detail

You will: * Perform mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment including conveyor system, printer and sorting equipment. * Respond to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency. * Complete preventative maintenance according to TQM and vendor operating standards. * Evaluate and assesse equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner. * Communicate and/or escalate serious equipment issues to the Lead Technician. * Study, review and utilize vendor technical manuals, publications or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with all changes or modifications to equipment. * Train, assist and guides other site technicians. * Utilize inventory, pm schedule and work order systems, and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory. * Evaluate and assess equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner. * Perform all additional duties as required. our background: As a Onsite Industrial Maintenance Technician, you have: * Minimum of 1 year direct experience trouble-shooting and repairing complex industrial mechanical equipment preferred * Minimum 1 year strong familiarity servicing mailing equipment, conveyer machines, PLC systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, pulleys or any other industrial types of electro mechanical production equipment preferred. * An AA degree in Electronics, Computer Science or related field of study is preferred. * Experience using a multi-meter or any other type of electronic testing equipment preferred. * Ability to read and interpret schematics, charts, service manuals and parts diagram preferred. * Familiarity with Windows PC environment as it pertains to the operation of automated equipment preferred. * Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, read schematics, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures. * The ability to lift up to 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations. * We Will: * Provide the opportunity to grow and develop your career * Offer an inclusive environment that encourages diverse perspectives and ideas * Deliver challenging and unique opportunities to contribute to the success of a transforming organization * Offer comprehensive benefits globally ( Our Team: Global E-Commerce (GEC) The GEC team is dedicated to transforming the consumer experience.
