The Contractor shall:

  • Maintain and repair computers, networks, mobile satellite, and radio systems. Support includes managing Windows and Android based operating systems and equipment, and designing, developing, and supporting a mesh network for EOD specific equipment.
  • Assist in managing the SIPRnet, to include supporting and managing user accounts, integrating new hardware and software, and establishing and maintaining a Secret Video Teleconference system and Voice over IP Phone systems.
  • Create accounts and manage security groups, distribution lists, share drive folder setup and management, and manage the maintenance and operation of video teleconference equipment on Non-classified Internet Protocol Router Network and SIPRnet. In addition, the Contractor will monitor and maintain organizational Cyber security programs, continuity plans, IT technologies readiness, and any related security program policies.
  • Provide maintenance, management, inventory, configuration, IT technology support to systems and software for all organizational IT technologies, mobile devices, related technologies, and service associated providers (CDRL). In addition, the Contractor will manage communications service contracts to include cellular phone, satellite and software services.
  • Assist in managing the Local-Element Communications Security (COMSEC) account, to include issue of COMSEC keys.
  • Image standalone laptop hard drives, load mission required software, and configure networks.
  • Plan, analyze, design, develop, test, conduct quality assurance, configure, install, implement, integrate, maintain, and manage networked and wireless systems used for the transmission of informational data of all types for organizational requirements.

Requirements

The contractor must meet either the minimum education requirement or the minimum certification requirement.

  • Minimum education requirement: A bachelors degree from an accredited university program in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, or closely related field.
  • Minimum certification requirement: CompTIA Security+ ce; GIAC Security Essentials Certification; and Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience providing IT technical support.
  • Per DoD 8570.01-M, complete Operating System/Computing Environment training within 6-months after reporting to NSEOD and 40 hours of continuous learning each calendar year (CDRL).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Will be required to follow all Federal COVID-19 protocols as they pertain to contractors

The systems administrator will research, develop, and test systems capabilities in tandem with hardware-in-the-loop, constructive and virtual simulation, physics, and digital twin experts. The systems administrator will work with a team of subject matter experts in production laboratory environments. The candidate will troubleshoot and resolve issues on multiple isolated and connected research and development (R&D) networks and classifications (DREN, SDREN, standalone enclaves). The R&D networks are composed of a variety of physical and virtual servers to include backups, Active Directory, software defined data centers, GPU accelerated applications, and virtual machine deployments. The candidate must be able to apply their knowledge to both connected and isolated enclaves. The candidate must be self-starting, able to work in a team and independently, and be interested in research and development of novel network solutions. The candidate must be able to accel in a dynamic and highly visible workplace. * Qualifications* Requirements: * Exceptional troubleshooting and issue resolution skills * Excellent soft skills (verbal and written communication) * Operational experience with Windows Server, particularly Active Directory, Certificate Management, and File Sharing * Operational experience with server maintenance * Operational experience with DNS, DHCP, Windows style permissions * Knowledge of virtualization, hypervisors, and operating system image builds * Basic familiarity with Linux distributions * Familiarity with Fiber Optics, SFP's, Connectors and Copper medium, patch panels * Ability to work remote * 8570 Compliance * Active Secret clearance * Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance Nice to haves: * Strong experience with Linux operating systems * System configuration automation (GPO's, Ansible) * Familiarity with Agile project methodologies, scrums * ChatOps (Teams, Slack) COVID Policy: Prospective and/or new employees will be required to adhere with SAIC's vaccination policy.
