JOB SUMMARY:SCIS is seeking an experienced mid-levelWindows Systems Administrator. The Systems Administrator is responsible for the support of Windows server applications, systems and network environments as well as helping to maintain workstation level Windows based images and VM environment. This is a mid-levelposition that requires the candidate to participate in both system and network administration in support of OPM. Candidates must have a strong technical background and an interest in further developing both systems and network administration skills. General expectation for this candidate is that they will work closely under the direction of PM and be given an opportunity to further develop their technical skills. As their skills progress, job responsibilities will increase. Microsoft server and VMware experience would be strongly desirable as well as experience working in a Microsoft Active Directory (AD) environment.DETAIL JOB DESCRIPTION:As a Windows Systems Administrator you will be responsible for:
  • Provide system and network administration functions such as managing patch releases, reviewing system logs and maintaining server health. Assure proper systems management including implementing processes such as system configuration management, backup and systems recovery.
  • Monitoring and managing all levels of support for the systems/applications. Develop basic application, system and support documentation.
  • Troubleshooting, repair, escalation & problem resolution of the Windows Server and Network systems.
  • Participate in Implementing operational upgrades, system changes, and software loads.
  • Help to develop and maintain workstation images for Windows workstation. This would include the testing of all operating system and application patches and updates as well as testing the systems against production databases and applications.
  • Provide full time, on-site, experienced system Administrator(s) to maintain all servers, LAN and other automated systems to include, but not limited to, system security, backups, and user accounts.
REQUIREMENT:
  • Applicant must be a citizen of the United States and must have DoD Top secret clearance
  • Must have CompTIA Security+
  • Must have Windows Server certification to meet DoD 8270 requirement

Minimum Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the positionBasic Qualifications
  • Must be a citizen of the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Current (within the last 2 years) Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
  • Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements
  • Must be available to travel to training facility for initial training
  • Must be able to successfully complete and pass all required training
Education/Experience
  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Management information systems, or closely related field
  • Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference depending upon the nature of the position.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in a micro-computer network environment; or 5+ years experience as a Windows System Administrator or any combination of relevant education and experience.
Background PrerequisitesMust undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements
  • Ability to identify, understand, and apply federal, state, and local changes and/or new regulations/laws pertaining to personnel investigations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
